8 Σεπ 2017 · Note: I'm NOT asking about the well-known high DPI and low sensitivity discussion, I understand the difference between hardware-dependent DPI and software-dependent sensitivity. What I don't understand is the difference between the speed set in Windows and the one set in game settings. By the way, I'm using PMW3366. The questions:
2 Σεπ 2021 · However, I don't like how the cursor/pointer speed feels at 800 dpi so I want lower it to 4/11 WPS to match how it previously felt. But, I don't want to if it will negatively affect my gaming experience i.e. make something run slower or not in it's highest potential.
10 Απρ 2018 · The scroll speed in this game is bottle necked by the mouse dpi. I've even used 400 dpi before, but it sucks scrolling around super slowly. Last thing is in ever game I've seen, there's always top players using crazy settings.
11 Σεπ 2011 · DPI: 800 Windows mouse setting: None (Mouseware integrated) Mouseware speed setting: 2/11 + Mouseware Advanced Settings Acc: Low (disabled for games, but the mouse behavior carries over regardless) AoC Scroll speed: Around 8/10 I have also an overclocked mouse polling rate, but it affects the coordinates/mouse speed unfortunately.

Although the correct term is technically CPI (Counts Per Inch), the term DPI is more commonly used by both consumers and manufacturers.
26 Νοε 2017 · Ok, the DPI for the cursor is simple math, i.e. 1440/1080*400, so 550 would be the closest if your mouse supports it. For the game sensitivity going from 400 to 550 you have to use the calculator for the exact numbers as it's a bit more complicated.
20 Σεπ 2014 · interesting read, I usually use 11/11 and 6800 to 7000 dpi. I will try this at 6/11 with 8200 dpi. im have it on now and it just feels really SLOW but i think your right about accuracy. which I did have a problem before always, the speed was right but clicking 1 specific tile was really hard. anyway ill let you know how it goes
