1 Οκτ 2020 · Hello, i was wondering if is droidcam secure? I need to use my phone as a webcam for my PC for MS teams meetings as i currently dont have one. If it is not secure, then what alternatives do i have.
I was using droidcam for a while on windows, and it worked okay except id often have to unplug replug to get my phone detected by adb. on ubuntu I found that adb didnt recognize my phone half the time, id have to restart, and then the droidcam client broke after an update. I found out about droidcam obs, tried that client, and wow thats amazing.
5 Φεβ 2021 · I have droidcam installed on my android phone and pc. I have no webcam and can't get one yet. The connection from my phone to pc works well. But after some minutes, the droidcam webcam just freezes. When I look at the DroidCam PC Client, it seems that the connection is lost.
18 Οκτ 2022 · DroidCam client may not be available here, but uninstall tool may be under C:\Program Files (x86)\DroidCam\Uninstall.exe Once DroidCam is removed from your system, driver may remain in your computer, you can download a driver manager tool, like DriverStoreExplorer .
14 Νοε 2010 · I've used Qik for this sort of thing; it's free and you don't need a dedicated client to see the video. And it uploads via 3G if you want, too. I only wish there were something like that which did motion detection to only record (or only keep) video where something is moving.
17 Απρ 2020 · However, if you wanted a USB connecting app because you wanted to utilize the PC for making a Zoom web conference call and were thinking the PC won't recognize a wifi video feed as a webcam then this can be easily solved by variuos apps (i.e. Droidcam Client, webcamXp, EpochCam, etc. which will emulate a wireless camera video feed a being a USB ...
28 Δεκ 2020 · Droidcam is a popular app for using an Android device as a webcam. It requires running a Droidcam client on the PC. That client is licensed under GPL 2 on Linux, so I expected to see it in the Debian package repository given Droidcam's popularity, alas it isn't in the repo.

8 Ιουλ 2020 · To connect my Galaxy s7, I make sure that I have droidcam open on both my pc and phone. Then, I hit the refresh button of the device list on the droidcam client. When I do that a confirmation window pops up on my phone asking if its OK to enter debug. You may need to adjust security settings or defaults if you aren't seeing that popup.
20 Μαρ 2020 · Because I don't have a webcam (and won't be able to get one the next weeks) I thought about using my Android phone and found DroidCam as a possible solution. Here is the problem: I have successfully installed the client on my PC and the app on my phone. The connection works as I see the captured camera within the app.
