20 Αυγ 2016 · DVI does not have audio. HDMI does, but DVI doesn't. If your source is a DVI there is no audio signal. Not if you follow the specifications for DVI. In my case its HDMI to my monitors DVI. The audio part of my HDMI signal goes no where. It dead ends at the HDMI to DVI adapter on my monitor. I use PC speakers so its no big deal for me.
2 Απρ 2020 · When I do the switch, the screen goes black, the typical "no HDMI signal" appears and the system defaults back to 1920x1080. Bought a new HDMI 2.0 cable (after trying several spare I have had through the year), in case it was the cable. No good. Bought a DVI to HDMI converter to support 4K, in case my old converter as the issue. No good.
