In the first Frozen movie, Elsa is a misunderstood heroine, struggling with her powers and trying to protect her sister Anna. She's admired for her power and intelligence, but is somewhat isolated. In Frozen 2, Elsa's role evolves as she embarks on a journey to discover the origins of her powers.
Elsa (born December 21 [5], 1819 [6]) is the daughter of Agnarr and Iduna, the older sister of Anna, and the former queen of Arendelle. She was born with the powers to manipulate ice and snow and, as a child, used them to entertain her sister.
