15 Μαρ 2017 · Even a simple embroidery on a blouse, takes it to the next level of custom clothing. I found my embroidery pattern on Antique Pattern Library (oh no, the rabbit hole), W.F. Sherwood Co. This was a nifty collection, the patterns are a little fuzzy, but once you trace over them with a pen, they come out beautifully.
26 Οκτ 2006 · I embroidered a whole sock cat with embroidery stitched sort of used it as an instructional time. I gave five cats to the library to used a surprised during the summer reading program at the town public library. This embroidery has filled in quite a few of my dolls and dresses I made from scratch and the stitched enliven the clothes.
16 Ιουν 2006 · Hi, Patricia – Well, there are heaps of embroidery books out there, but I think it depends mostly on what type of embroidery you’re drawn to. For beginning, you might try a little book by Anchor, called “The Anchor Book of Free-Style Embroidery” – it’s a simple little book that’s out of print, but you can find it through used booksellers online.

The folks behind Antique Pattern Library do a fantastic job scanning and cataloging a whole variety of needlework books, and many of them are excellent old embroidery books.
