Emerald Zoysia is the Cadillac of lawn grasses. An artificially bred hybrid variety, Emerald produces an extremely dense, fine textured turf of true emerald green color. Emerald is an excellent grass for the southern and southeastern states.
These individually grown Zenith ® Zoysia Grass Plugs are ready for planting in your lawn; they are fully mature and many are producing runners! Our plugs are never cut from sod meaning they are stress free. Each tray contains 50 plugs that measure 1.75" x 1.75" x 2" inches deep.
Emerald is a long-standing zoysia standard which has been around for decades. Like other zoysia varieties, it is drought and heat tolerant and is good at resisting disease pressure. Requests can take up to 20 seconds as we check realtime availability & truck routes.
Zeon's Superior Assets to Emerald Zoysia. After Elite Tall Fescue, Zeon is our second most shade tolerant turfgrass, requiring as little as 4-5 hours of direct sunlight to thrive. Emerald Zoysia requires 6-7 hours. Emerald Zoysia must be mowed with a reel mower.
Emerald Zoysia is a very slow growing lawn grass. Zoysia grasses are generally slower growing than Bermuda and St. Augustine, with Emerald Zoysia being one of the slowest growing Zoysia grasses. The grass exhibits a dense creeping growth, rather than an aggressive upward, or sprawling growth.
