Several different techniques have been developed for endoscopic treatment of ulcer bleeding. An ideal endoscopic hemostasis technique should posses the following features: a) reproducible effectiveness, b) easy and rapid application, c) low complications rate, d) low cost, e) portability to the bedside, and f) widespread availability.
