I know that the accepted English equivalent is Ladislaus, but it seems that the name always became James. Is this an accepted translation in other areas or was it something that became common in certain communities?
28 Ιαν 2007 · Vowels. There are more vowels in English than I Polish, and I don’t see the difference between some of them. TH of course. "Do you fink dat..." :) And -ing ending. Instead of saying "doin" I will say "doING".

28 Ιαν 2008 · I'm English & My Lady is Polka, We have a 6 Month old we named Maja like your wife & as I understand it it means "little Bee" in Polish as in a polish children's cartoon series. My relatives & English friends have no problems with it's pronunciation but do misspell occasionally.

True, English is not completely toothless in this respect, but still there is no comparison. The Poles lead by far. Sex related swear words are most useful and, thus, most common.

30 Αυγ 2008 · With Polish 214 you need not switch between English, Polish and German settings because its all there engraved on the keytops. The German umlaut and ß, all the symbols needed to type English and other languages ($, € , @, ç é, etc.) are right there in front of you.
9 Ιαν 2017 · It can be sometimes used like we use SOB in English, but it does not mean SOB. That would literally be "sukinsyn" in Polish. Your dictionary is not providing a literal translation, just a equivalent English phrase that sometimes, but not always, be used to convey approximately the same level of intensity and vulgarity are the Polish phrase.
