The Office of Strategic and Pastoral Planning provides ongoing support and guidance to parishes and diocesan entities so they can more effectively create and implement long-term planning.
Strategic & Pastoral Planning is a process that engages ALL members of the faith community, and invites them to take and express their baptismal responsibility to build up the Church through prayer, discernment, and actions that address the needs of the faith community and those served by it.

FALL RIVER − The Fall River Diocesan Strategic and Pastoral Planning Office has launched a website dedicated to the ongoing “Rebuilding in Faith and Hope” planning initiative in the diocese with an easy to read “scorecard” to monitor progress on its many recommendations.

In the Diocese of Fall River, every parish is required to have a Pastoral Council. The Second Vatican Council, in its Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium, expresses the good which it expects to result from this type of collaboration between laity and clergy.
