Dispute a ticket online. To dispute a parking ticket, you must request a hearing within 30 days after the ticket was issued to avoid paying late penalties. Contacting anyone other than the Department of Finance does not put the deadline on hold. You must meet all deadlines.
To avoid penalties, request a hearing to dispute your violation within 30 days of your violation or notice of liability date. After you submit the form and any supporting evidence, a judge will review your case.

If you don’t believe you should have received a parking ticket, camera violation, or weigh-in-motion violation, you can dispute it. You can request a hearing online, by mail, or on your smartphone using the NYC Parking Ticket Pay or Dispute App. After your request is submitted, a hearing will be held within 45 days.
