I have the FPE 3.2 in a SIG SunDancer for about a year now and it is a very good engine. It is easy to crank, great throttle response, consistent idle....all around good running engine. It is more than enough power for the SunDancer.

13 Φεβ 2024 · I have a matched set of FPE 2.4 40cc Gas engines. They have billet cases and I just received them back from CH Ignitions where he installed a new Magnetic timing pickup and brand new Ignitions. I also had them converted from the older spark plug to the new CM6 plugs.
All is not so simple if you have an early FPE 2.4. These were equipped with a fixed timing (no advance curve) Ridge Machine ignition and were timed at a compromise 20 degrees or there abouts. These early FPE engines never reached their full power potential because of this ignition setup.
