Abstract. All fish eggs are surrounded by an envelope, called the zona pellucida (ZP), that plays various roles during oogenesis, egg deposition, fertilization, and embryogenesis. The fish egg ZP consists of only a few proteins that are homologs of mammalian ZP proteins ZP1, ZP3, and ZP4.
10 Δεκ 2023 · In the present study, DNA barcodes were used to assess the diversity of fish eggs in the Equatorial Southwestern Atlantic, a rich but understudied region. We sampled two seascapes for analyzing the fish diversity: seagrass and rhodolith beds. Collectively, 112 fish eggs were sorted for genetic analysis, of which 31 were successfully sequenced.

Despite image noise pollution, poor boundary definition of eggs and different egg positions, fish eggs were recognised, segmented and counted with 100% accuracy compared to manual observation in all the captured images ( Table 1 ).

30 Ιαν 2024 · Atlantic salmon (S. salar) eggs and milt were obtained from broodstock fish at Lerøy Midt AS avd. Aakvik, Halsa Municipality, Norway. Approximately 15,000 eggs were pooled from three different females and transported to NTNU SeaLab, Trondheim, Norway. The time interval between the collection and fertilization of gametes was approximately 24 h.
