7 Σεπ 2017 · French flathead blocks were made until mid '80s, at least these are the last date stamps we came across. They were rebuilt for the French army 'til the mid '90s. 22 Μαΐ 2024 · If your looking to have a flathead built take a look at what Frames has for sale in the parts section. He has more than a couple and they seem about what it should cost to get the block done. Add your heads and intake as desired. In my opinion it is easier to just buy one already done, no waiting.
13 Δεκ 2016 · The steering looks like it's mounted kinda' high. I think maybe some regular headers (tube or cast) might just fit in there. I also have a few extra 8BA/8RT exhaust manifolds if that would help. Shipping might be a problem. I do think you should eliminates the previous owners "modifications", though.
12 Απρ 2010 · from L.B.N.J.U.S.A. You might find more about this engine here on the HAMB. It is a V8-60, built under license in France, for the Vedette and other models. The engine was later built and developed by Simca in its Brazilian factories, including a change to OHV hemi heads, almost like the little ARDUNs. Zerk, Apr 13, 2010.
29 Απρ 2021 · If you want to run a later trans (with an 8BA) you need a '52-'53 Mercury bellhousing if you want a clutch arm or a '51 Mercury bell if you want the clutch shaft. All 3 of those years are a cast iron bellhousing that has the later Ford trans bolt pattern. I'm going to run a 8BA to a Ford 3.03 (top loader 3spd early to late 60's).

Holds 25 psi oil pressure warm idle. Starts as easily as a fuel injected car. Practically everything is new either in or on motor. Engine was magnafluxed and pressure tested.
