Licensed Dental Hygienists are required to renew their license no later than midnight, Eastern Time, on February 28, 2026. The department will renew your license upon receipt of the following: Completed Renewal application. Required fee. Your current primary place of practice address.

28 Νοε 2023 · All dental hygienists – regardless of which state you live in – must take and pass the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) in order to achieve licensure.. The NBDHE is the only nation-wide exam that’s required by all 50 U.S. states.
However, the Department of Children and Families, Department of Health, Department of Juvenile Justice, and public institutions approved by the board shall not be so limited as to the number of dental hygienists or dental assistants working under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
The Florida Department of Health (FLDOH) has contracted with CDCA-WREB-CITA to provide the Laws and Rules examination. Successful completion of these examinations is one of the requirements for Dental and Dental Hygiene licensure in the state of Florida.
