17 Δεκ 2009 · Look down at the balancer and using either the starter or a breaker bar, line up the marks to TDC, then recheck your rotor postion. If it's not pointing to #1, then it's out of time, reset it as needed.

13 Απρ 2004 · The most accurate way to determine TDC is w/ the use of a piston stop tool. The pencil trick works ok, but could be off by a few degrees because there is such a small amount of piston travel per degree of crank rotation as the piston nears TDC.
22 Ιουλ 2013 · For finding which pointer you need, it does not have to be on compression stroke. You might be able to get close enough just using a probe in the spark plug hole to find rough TDC. 22 Νοε 2002 · You need to verify that the piston it is at TDC on the "Compression stroke" (i:e: both the intake and exhaust vales for #1 cylinder valves are closed). This is fairly easy to determine. The way way to do that is to remove all the spark plugs so you can easily turn the crankshaft with a wrench on the crankshaft pully.
