St Augustine has fat, juicy blades that stand up stiff and tall. When you mow it, it’s recommended to mow it as tall as your mower will go.
20 Ιουν 2014 · Answer: Fusilade II can only be used to remove bermuda grass from Tall Fescue and ZoysiaG rass when used at reduced rates but it is not labeled for use on St Augustine grass so we cannot recommend it for this use.
The safener in Recognition, metcamifen, triggers certain grass species to tolerate certain herbicides, like Fusilade II, without impacting its activity on weed species like bermudagrass. To control bermudagrass out of established St. Augustinegrass turf:
Your St Augustine stolons will no longer have competition from Bermuda so give them some nitrogen fuel to start spreading, fast! Overall, the treatment works. It kills Bermuda grass in St Augustine and Zoysia alike.

3 Οκτ 2024 · The best and most effective herbicide for driving out St. Augustine from EMPIRE Zoysia lawns is Fusilade II Herbicide. However, it is highly suggested you follow the label’s application instructions closely so that it doesn’t harm the zoysia.
16 Απρ 2024 · Recognition can be tank mixed with Fusilade ® II herbicide (12-24 fl. oz./A) to selectively control common or hybrid bermudagrass with excellent safety to St. Augustinegrass or zoysiagrass turf. This mixture also provides excellent control of dallisgrass and goosegrass.
