  1. 2 Ιαν 2014 · Ive seen only 2 opossums try the trap too, but not take the golden malrin bait. I'm just shocked that from everything Ive read online that I could watch the racoons eat the poison and just frolic away. But no, I wont be using the Golden Malrin anymore, I'm just wondering if it was because I used pepsi instead of coke.

  2. 31 Μαρ 2010 · Please, please, please, do not use Golden Malrin for off label uses. Personally, I don't use it at all when children are present on property, and I work with pesticides daily. The active ingredient in GM is Methomyl, a carbamate, which is in a group of insecticides that are being taken off of the market, due to the broad toxicity to mammals.

We used to take Golden Malrin and sprinkle about a tablespoon of the golden particles in an aluminum plate and it would attract and kill flies until the plate was overflowing with dead flies. I recently bought a can of Golden Malrin and it is now robin egg blue instead of golden.

I put the mixture on fence posts, down low, and up on top to eliminate squirrels too (they eat my avocados ) This stuff is deadly, I have no pets and chickens are in the coop for a while. This stuff works.

  5. 14 Απρ 2009 · Actually the active ingredient is in the same chemical class as Carbayl aka Sevin Dust, that most people agree is good for treating birds for lice/mites. I also have rat poison in the coop, but it's also in a bait station designed to keep the birds out. HOW they managed to get the bait station down is anybody's guess.

  6. 10 Μαρ 2008 · After trying traps to kill what I thought was only one coon, and seeing how hard it was for my friend to catch her problem in these traps, I heavy heartily decided on a different option. I was plain out tired of losing chickens etc and it was not going to stop! I used the Pepsi & fly...

Went to the feed store today to get some golden malrin because I was out and was told it is illegal to sell in Indiana now. Will have to try and find it online. Stuff works great. Its not my job to feed, house, and insure the lazy and the illegal. Reply Like.

  8. 7 Φεβ 2009 · Put 1/2 cup of Golden Malrin on a pie tin or styrofoam plate. On top of it place 1 tablespoon of anykind of berry preserves. Very humane. Kills within 10 ft. Put it out in several locations at night and pick up the predators in the morning. Caution, cats will not eat it as they don`t like the chemical smell.

  9. 12 Ιαν 2008 · Although it does work well for preditors, it may not be legal to use it in your area. The fly bait mentioned is Golden Malrin which is a neural toxin designed to control flys in a dairy or fly infested area. The neural toxin in Golden Malrin shuts down all brain functions in the flies resulting in death. This is what the product was designed for.

I have posted here before that it didn't work when I tried it. I have been live trapping predators for awhile using tunafish, sardines, and peanut butter, with pretty good results.
