All good sandstorm teams require a Pokémon with Sand Stream, and you only have two options: Tyranitar and Hippowdon. These Pokémon are more than good enough to warrant a spot on your team though, so don't fret.

I want to make a sandstorm team but I'm very new to team building and I'm not sure which pokemon I would consider. My preferred sandstorm setter would be Hippowdon - what Pokemon would work well alongside it?
Breakdown of a Typical Sand Team. There is a process to building a good sand team. Typically, each sand team consists of the following: Sand setter (Hippowdon/Tyranitar) + Sweeper + Fairy / Dragon check + Ground-type breaker + Mega Charizard Y / Keldeo / Manaphy check + filler.
Max Attack/Speed Adamant makes the most sense, outspeeds most of the meta in a sandstorm (except for some scarfers like Caly-S, and of course Eleki). Fishious Rend is your main source of damage, and I'm running Sub for when you catch your opponent with their pants down.
