18 Μαΐ 2007 · It seems like a misnomer that's confusing a lot of people who try to encode 29.97 fps interlaced DVDs expecting the output framerate to be 29.97, but are getting 23.976 with dropped frames and jittery playback. 3 possible solutions: - Make "same as source" mean what it says regardless of pulldown. - Remove the "Same as source" setting altogether.

Try to see if encoding with x265 10bit helps, and please post the activity log because it's so hard guessing every time.
7 Δεκ 2009 · I can certainly do this but I was just wondering if there might be a way to specify the audio offset directly in Handbrake because that would be a lot cleaner. I know it's possible in things like ffmpeg or mencoder but I haven't found the appropriate options in Handbrake. Thanks!
HandBrake's H.264 encoder, x264, sets the appropriate level automatically based on all the other settings. To make sure your video doesn't exceed a specific level, you simply have to make sure the other parameters fit within the constraints imposed by the level.
