18 Ιουν 2022 · Adults ages 19–59 should receive the hepatitis B vaccine in a two- or three-dose series, typically over the span of six months. Adults ages 60 and older who have a high risk of contracting hepatitis B should also receive the vaccine.
HepB vaccine is a routine childhood vaccination (see CDC: Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule by Age). HepB vaccine also is indicated for all adults aged 19 through 59 years who have not been previously vaccinated (see CDC: Adult Immunization Schedule by Age).
Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended for adults 60 years or older at increased risk of exposure to hepatitis B who were not vaccinated previously. Adults 60 years or older who are not at increased risk and were not vaccinated in the past may also be vaccinated.
