Hocking Hills State Park is a state park in the Hocking Hills region of Hocking County, Ohio, United States. In some areas the park adjoins the Hocking State Forest . Within the park are over 25 miles (40 km) of hiking trails, rock formations, waterfalls, and recess caves.

The scenic features of the six areas of the Hocking Hills State Park complex are carved in the Blackhand sandstone. This bedrock was deposited more than 350 million years ago as a delta in the warm shallow sea which covered Ohio at that time.
Hocking Hills State Park is a great place to hike. It has seven different hiking areas: Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow, Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and Hemlock Bridge Trail. Park entry is free.

Breathtaking rock formations and plenty of hiking trails from very easy 1/4 mile to miles of trail hikes. Definitely worth a visit. It was so fun! We didn’t stay long, just went through Old Man’s and Ash Cave on our way home from West Virginia but very worth it!
