31 Μαρ 2023 · I just paid a local locksmith $180 for a replacement today for my accord. Included fob, programming, and key cutting. $270 isn’t too bad from the dealer, my local dealer was charging closer to $300 before tax.
For your remaining key, Amazon/etc have replacement fobs where you take the metal T blade and insert it into a small adapter and then the key fob clips around that. All the guts of your current key fit into that new fob. They'll break after a year or two again, but at $8 that's cheap.
19 Φεβ 2021 · So I have a Honda Civic and I need a spare key made. My only key is literally being held together with JB Weld. It doesn’t have to be a smart key that unlocks the car with buttons. The Honda dealership said that it would be $300 and the lady leveled with me and told me I’d be better off just trying to fix my car key (hence the JB Weld).
29 Δεκ 2022 · The dealership I work at removes them for no charge (as it's usually a pretty easy process). We have a master set and can also find your matching key and get one ordered. Idk what the price is for just a key though. We charge $100 for an entire set of key+lugs. Which is insane compared to the off-the-shelf price by McGard.
4 Σεπ 2014 · Honda doesn't typically tie a key code to a VIN. They stamp them behind the ignition, gas cap, or helmet lock. Sometimes it's on the key itself. Usually the key is about $10 and we charge $5 to cut it.
2 Οκτ 2023 · Unfortunately, from my experience, this has to be done at a Honda dealership. There may be a DIY hack I’m not aware of, but, I used to write service for old Hondas, and we’d have to send replacement keyfob clients to the big dealership up the road. Usually like… $250ish. 😬
22 Οκτ 2021 · Hey guys, my girlfriend lost her spare key fob a few weeks ago and today she went to the dealer to get quoted on a new one and the dealer said it was $395. I think that's insanely priced since i know aftermarket fobs are around the $100 range along with Honda/locksmiths charging around $50-100 programming fee.

25 Μαρ 2022 · Ruckuses do NOT have key codes on the ignition. Period. If you can get a replacement issued by a dealership, then do it. The first thing a Ruckus owner should do is cut 10 copes of their keys and put the originals in a safe. You can buy brand new matching ignition, helmet lock, and gas caps with keys.
