A simple how-to instruction for monocular and binocular refraction in plus cyl, with brief explanations.
Set up for Retinoscopy. Before putting the phoropter in front of the patient, clear the phoropter, set the cylinder axis at 90 degrees and unocclude both eyes. After positioning the phoropter in front of the patient, level the phoropter and make sure the interpupillary distance is properly adjusted.
