Hudson Falls (formerly Sandy Hill) is a village located in Washington County, New York, United States. The village is in the southwest of the town of Kingsbury, on U.S. Route 4. Hudson Falls is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. [2] As of the 2020 census, the village had a population of 7,428. [3]

Hudson Falls, New York is located approximately 55 miles north of Albany and just 13 minutes from Lake George, New York, a popular vacation spot. The original name of the village was Baker’s Falls, named for Albert Baker who came to the area from New York City in 1768. Baker built a short wing dam and saw mill on the Hudson River at the site of the falls that today bear his name. These falls are believed to be the highest falls on the mighty Hudson River.
