The IBEW Code of Excellence is IBEW members collectively subscribing to, and pursuing, a higher standard of work ethics. The IBEW Code of Excellence proclaims to all that IBEW members will: . Come to work on time, fit for duty and ready to work. Obey recognized customer and employer work rules.
The I.B.E.W. has developed a Code of Excellence program designed to bring out the best in our construction members and demonstrate to our customers that I.B.E.W. members: Exercise safe and productive work practices. Perform the highest quality and quantity of work. Utilize their skills and abilities to the maximum.
The Code of Excellence is an internal IBEW program that promotes best skills, work practices, quality, and reputation of the IBEW. It involves local union officers, stewards, members, employers, and customers in creating a culture of professionalism, safety, and responsibility on jobsites.
SPARQ is part of the Code of Excellence Core Training Program. The core program, spearheaded by International President Lonnie R. Stephenson, is designed to ensure that all IBEW members can articulate and demonstrate the values of the Code.
