The Idaho Transportation Department is constructing the extension of State Highway 16. SH-16 will improve regional mobility, provide access to I-84 in the rapidly growing central Treasure Valley, and improve commutes for thousands of motorists.
With traffic conditions congested now and volumes expected to double by 2045, ITD is modernizing the I-90 corridor to improve safety, capacity and mobility for current and future travel demands. Click the links below for more information about current projects on the I-90 corridor.
17 Φεβ 2022 · The projects selected for construction starting this summer will modernize aging infrastructure, improve safety and reduce congestion: I-86/I-15 System Interchange in Pocatello/Chubbuck; I-90 and State Highway 41 (SH-41) Interchange in Post Falls; State Highway 16 (SH-16) from Interstate 84 to Chinden Boulevard; and.
16 Αυγ 2024 · This Leading Idaho multi-year project includes widening I-15, constructing a median barrier to separate opposing lanes of traffic and reconstructing bridge structures, including overpasses and underpasses, to accommodate the additional lanes.
Construction. The 2023 construction season began in early February. Work will take place near Eid Road and will include building a rock embankment for the site of the two new bridges and excavation on the north side of Reisenauer Hill.
