20 Ιουλ 2023 · The Metsovion Interdisciplinary Research Center (M.I.R.C.) was founded in 1993 by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Since 2015, it is an interschool laboratory of the NTUA.
It is held annually in the Metsovion Interdisciplinary Research Center (MIRC) in Metsovo, Greece. Why a postgraduate programme for the mountainous areas? Because, Greece is a mountainous country, 70% of its land is mountainous, it is the second most mountainous country in Europe.
A laboratory dedicated to the research and the study of all the manifold issues regarding the natural and the manmade environment of the mountainous areas. Dimitris Rokos was the leader of this initiative and the first chair of M.I.R.C. Scientific Committee.
Cambridge Language Sciences is an Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our virtual network connects researchers from five schools across the university as well as other world-leading research institutions.
