8 Νοε 2022 · Looking at PayPal, it appears Spokeo used the $0.95 transaction to setup a recurring $29.95 monthly payment that started 7 days after my original purchase. In other words, they were providing me the record I sought for $0.95 in return for a 7 day trial of their $29.95 per month service.
Paid for a 1-off search, did not sign up for any subscription and Spokeo have since charged me an unauthorised amount of $29.99 for a subscription I do not want. I have contacted my bank who will dispute this transaction. I have also emailed Spokeos customer service team. Full refund against charge that was not authorised required.
9 Οκτ 2024 · Is Spokeo legit or is it a scam? Spokeo is a legitimate background check company that has been operating for almost 2 decades, serving as a people search tool for the last 14 years. Although it isn't a perfect system, it isn't a scam either.
