The Japan Coast Guard Academy (海上保安大学校, Kaijō Ho'an Daigakkō) (JCGA) is a university-level service academy established within the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the purpose of developing Coast Guard Officers and training students to offer several recurrent education.
Full attendance at Japan Coast Guard Academy takes four years of Regular Course and a half year of Postgraduate Course. The 1st through 4rd semesters are mainly for General Education; semesters from the 5th on are for Specialized Education.

The Japan Coast Guard Academy is a 4-year-training institution, located in Kure, Hiroshima prefecture, established within the Coast Guard for the purpose of training students to become officers. Graduates are given a bachelor's degree upon graduation.

The entrance ceremony was held at the Japan Coast Guard Academy on April 10 and at the Japan Coast Guard School on April 17, 2021, respectively. The new course "Officer candidate after graduation from college" was started at the JCGA from this year, and JCGA welcomed 30 cadets of this course.
