The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験, Nihongo Nōryoku Shiken), or JLPT, is a standardized criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers, covering language knowledge, reading ability, and listening ability. [1]
14 Ιαν 2019 · N1: dedicated to advanced students, corresponding to a perfect mastering of grammar that allows the student to attend classes in Japanese or to read newspapers. The test requires knowledge of about 2,000 kanji —all jôyô kanji, 10,000 vocabulary words and 900 hours of studying.
22 Ιουν 2022 · The JLPT has 5 levels, namely N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. N5 is the lowest (easiest) level and N1 is the most difficult level. Anyone planning to study or work in Japan should consider taking the JLPT.
