10 Δεκ 2009 · Procedure: 1) Source parts needed for swap. 2) Source a motorset. 3) Remove cooling fan and fan shroud. Remove old motor from chassis. You can unbolt the motor mounts from above or below. Guide the motor out, making sure it doesn’t damage anything on it’s way out.

Guide the motor out, making sure it doesn't damage anything on it's way out. Pull the tranny with it so that it will be easier to remove, should you be resuing it.
22 Ιουν 2017 · Connect your heater hoses, alternator wiring, oil pressure wiring and starter wiring. Be aware the alternator, oil pressure and starter wiring will connect to the existing 720 wiring and NOT the wiring on the KA harness – you will need to change over the plugs from the KA harness to the 720 harness.
This section is for people who have a 1989 or 1990 240SX and want to install a later model KA24DE. Before we get to each of the engines, here is the car prep that needs to be done. -The accelerator cable needs to be changed. The sohc cable is shorter and doesn't have enough travel.
30 Μαρ 2008 · If you go with the frontier KA24de its a direct swap in deal but the 240sx engine will pose a few clearance issues with the oil pan, plus you will have to rewire for the ignition setup. peace.
5 Αυγ 2002 · The SOHC motor in my 90' 240 h/b is close to its death bed. I have a chance to buy a KA24DE out of a wrecked 95' for $1000 and it only has 50k on it. How easy is the swap and is it worth it.
5 Απρ 2008 · But chances are, you didnt upgrade your stock alt. to support this extra electrical drain. But luckily, there is a cheap and easy solution to this. It involves the 1gen Nissan Quest(93-98). These Vans were equipped with an VG30E and an 110 amp alt. that w/ only minor mods, can be fitted to an KA. This mod fits both KA24E and KA24DE.
