18 Φεβ 2021 · Do NOT book rental vehicles thru Kayak. We tried it on a trip to LA and Kayak produced a search result with what we wanted… so I paid, including for insurance, but the rental office was miles from the airport, closed when we arrived, and no one picked up the phone on the help line. We went to enterprise booked and paid full price for a car.
3 Μαΐ 2023 · mimibusybee. If you have access to Costco car rental, you can do cancellable booking, unlimited miles. You pick the car you actually want with the company you prefer. There is also pickup nearby instead of airport. You need Costco membership card to book, but I have never been asked to show card at pickup.

30 Ιαν 2023 · Edit: Adding cost details. The rental is for a compact SUV for 11 days in June. Typical prices through Costco and DHCR are ~1,400 to 1,500. The one through credit card is ~950 (refundable) but with Dollar (where I have no status). The one through Kayak is ~850 (non refundable) but with Hertz where I can possibly use my presidential circle ...

Supply constraints are making it difficult to rebuild fleets and is keeping pricing higher than “usual”. Also, keep in mind you’re trying to rent a car in June, arguably one of the toughest times to rent because school is out and families are traveling.
31 Μαΐ 2023 · Easy Way Car Rental. Hi all! We are planning a trip to Cancun in July and trying to figure out if we should rent a car or join a tour to get to Chichen Itza for a day. I see a lot of recommendations for Easy Way car rental. I am seeing compact cars for $7 a day/$14 a week. Is it really this cheap?? lol.
8 Αυγ 2021 · 1-Insurance is going to cost 2-3 times the rate of your rental. It is mandatory. I always get complete coverage. The roads are not kept up to par with the US. I think it is worth the peace of mind. BTW-I never buy insurance domestically. 2-Count on spending an hour+ renting the car.

Over the counter they offered 2 different insurance covers, first choice was around £400 and the other £700.
