Yesterday, the Greenville Technical College Area Commission approved President Keith Miller’s plan to retire in July 2025. This approval sets into motion a national search process that will culminate in the selection of a successor.
Dr. Keith Miller, president of Greenville Technical College (GTC), was presented with the Order of the Palmetto on May 17. E stablished by Governor John C. West in 1971, the Order of the Palmetto is South Carolina’s highest civilian honor.
Dr. Keith Miller repeats Greenville Technical College’s motto at every commencement ceremony. “Education in this case, and specifically Greenville Tech, is the key to a graduate’s future,” he explains.
22 Μαΐ 2023 · Greenville Technical College President Keith Miller was awarded the Order of the Palmetto on May 17 for his work at the college. Miller joined the college in 2008 as its second president and under his leadership, GTC opened its Center for Manufacturing Innovation.
Keith Miller: The College started in 1962 as the Greenville Technical Education Center, an offshoot of the vision for technical college education that was put forward in South Carolina by Fritz Hollings. I am just the second President in our 47-year history, Dr. Tom Barton having served as the College’s President for well over forty years.
