One noteworthy example is the Los Angeles County Fire Department's use of MSA Safety "Topgard" Helmets depicted in the 1970s television series Emergency!. Firefighters used all black with colored company numbers on the shield below the "L.A. County" in blue on the top half.

GREAT COLLECTIBLE TV SHOW "EMERGENCY" REPLICA L.A. SQUAD 51 HELMET This is a very nice replica of the L.A. COUNTY SQUAD 51 HELMET worn on the TV Show "EMERGENCY" during the 1970's. It is a SUPER CHIEFTAIN SAFE-T-HELMET by the Safety Supply Company of Canada.
