Lahainaluna High School is a public high school with the grades 9-12 located in Lahaina (on the island of Maui). Operated by the Hawaii Department of Education, Lahainaluna High School is also a public boarding school. It was founded in 1831 as a Protestant missionary school, originally named Lahainaluna Seminary.
Nestled at the base of Pu'u Pa'upa'u (Hill of Struggle), Lahainaluna Seminary was founded in 1831 by the American missionaries with the intent of creating a high school to educate the greater population.

Lahainaluna Seminary School was established in 1831 by the American Board of Commissioners as a work/study program for young men, with 25 students. The high school was located on land donated by Chiefess Kalakua Hoapiliwahine, wife of the governor of Maui.
