The following is a list of covered sports stadiums, ordered by capacity; that is the maximum number spectators the stadium can accommodate for a sports event. This is intended to include only stadiums that are used for sports traditionally held outdoors.

The Dome's roof is retractable and takes just 20 minutes to close or open it covers 95% of the seats and is made of revolutionary all-weather resistant materials.

Renowned for its raucous atmosphere and sports tradition, the venue has hosted the New Orleans Saints since the 1970s. With room for 70,000 spectators, it’s also the biggest domed stadium by capacity to be found anywhere in the world.
“The Globe,” as it is usually named by the inhabitants of Stockholm, is a covered multi-stadium with capacity for 13,850 people at sporting events and 16,000 at concerts or shows. It is the largest spherical structure in the world.
