About. Art is a language of response. Curiosity and attention are the drivers; authenticity is the hoped-for outcome. The artfulness of the natural world has fascinated me my entire life--the bottomless, living puzzle of it is breathtaking. And so, I was first drawn to a career as a botanical illustrator.

Laurel Smith is an award winning artist who shows her work nationally and internationally. Her art adventures include a solo art exhibit in Manhattan, participation in digital art shows in Times Square NYC and the Lou vre Muse um in Paris, and an art exhibition in Venice, Italy during the 57th Venice Biennale 2017.
