2 Σεπ 2024 · Leaf Guard (Japanese: リーフガード Leaf Guard) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. During harsh sunlight, Leaf Guard prevents the Pokémon from being afflicted by non-volatile status conditions (including via Flame Orb and Toxic Orb) and Yawn. It has no effect on any status conditions the Pokémon was afflicted by prior to the weather being set up.
Leaf Guard prevents the bearer from succumbing to major status ailments (sleep, burns, poisoning, paralysis or freezing) during sunny weather. It does not prevent minor status ailments such as Confusion or Infatuation, nor does it prevent self-inflicted status conditions such as from using Rest .

Leaf Guard: Prevents the Pokémon from being afflicted by status conditions during strong sunlight. Chlorophyll: When sunny, the Pokémon’s Speed doubles. However, Speed will not double on the turn weather becomes Strong Sunlight. Its cellular composition is closer to that of a plant than an animal.
