Physaria ovalifolia is a broadleaf semi-evergreen shrub with blue foliage. In summer yellow flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Does well in average, gritty and well-drained soil.

Information. Perennials; caudex simple or branched, (thickened by persistent leaf bases); densely pubescent (foliage usually scabrous), trichomes (sessile or short-stalked), several-rayed, rays furcate near base, (usually strongly umbonate, roughly tuberculate, less so over umbo).
Ours are subsp. ovalifolia, which have branching, well-developed, thickened bases (caudices); yellow petals (very rarely white) 6-14 mm long, which are about 1.5 times as long as the sepals; and flowers in congested, flat-topped racemes.
