1 Μαΐ 2010 · Other than a manual tranny, you have the same truck I had last (2005 4WD Off Road Tacoma) which HAS an electronic switch activated locking rear differenial (NOT limited slip). Both differentials are 'open'. The rear locker only works in L4 (Low Range), come to a stop to engage. Info sticker on drivers door....
27 Ιουν 2024 · A TruTrac limited slip would definitely help on loose dirt inclines and in the snow. If you buy a pre assembled 3rd member - what your friend was calling a center section and / or a diff, it’ll run you $1500ish but it will be done right the first time and come with a 5 year warranty.
15 Ιουλ 2007 · limited slip is better for daily driving conditions. An after market locker can be added easily and cheaply if you want to off road. I have a TRD off road and really miss limited slip when driving in the rain around corners.

1 Ιουν 2018 · You don’t need limited slip with diff lock. Diff lock allows you to send equal power to both wheels and is much better than limited slip.
