Luis Emilio Gonzalez (born September 3, 1967), nicknamed "Gonzo", [1] is an American former baseball outfielder who played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven teams. Gonzalez spent his best years with the Arizona Diamondbacks and was one of the most popular players in the organization's history.
Played baseball for three seasons at the University of New Mexico…as a sophomore, led the Lobos with a .381 BA, 63R, 21 doubles, five triples, a .470 OBP and 18SB, while being named to the Second-Team All-Mountain West.
