7 Οκτ 2012 · Overall, I am extremely pleased with my Ti Tri HI CRI (after a few mods of course, as the stock version wasn't what I would have ordered if I bought from Mac directly). I love the feel and ergonomics, the clip, the switch, the (new) UI, and the beam pattern. I think this is a stellar EDC light.
This is a (rare? probably rare) aluminum hard anodized Mac's Customs Tri-EDC - basically the original 18350 triple emitter light. This one has Nichia 219c and h17fx, so not the original pill (but better!).
If I was going to spend the money, I'd take a Mac's Custom over an HDS. The standard Macs Custom XM-L in neutral tint is only $159. That's easily under the standard HDS 200+ lumen rotary (which runs $199) The XM-L EDC can produce 575 real lumens at the emitter. High quality craftsmanship, no bullshit design using high quality materials.
(NLD) Mac's Custom - EDC Brass Modded the pill to fit a 20mm mcpcb and sft40 5000k (for now, til more 3000k come), and gave it a quick sanding of 600Grit/1000/2000/4000grit. This thing is sweet.
