16 Απρ 2015 · Yesterday I started making some dark aluminum powder with shredded aluminum foil and a heaping tablespoon of charcoal dust. I used my ball mill which is a modified harbor freight rock tumbler with 3lb drums and lead-antimony balls.
2 Δεκ 2012 · Aluminum is made into a very thin sheet. It is then glued to a piece of paper. The paper is shredded down to a fine powder (probably around 200 mesh or so). Then it is put into a kiln and the paper is burned off. This is what gives it it’s dark color. The powder is then hammer milled to make even finer.
