About the City of Maud. The town of Maud was established in the late 1800's on the border of Indian Territory (Seminole County) and Oklahoma Territory (Pottawatomie County). A Post Office was established on April 16, 1896. It was incorporated on July 21st, 1905 and chartered as a City in 1927.
