Menlo Park (/ ˈ m ɛ n l oʊ / MEN-loh) is a city at the eastern edge of San Mateo County in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, United States. It is bordered by San Francisco Bay on the north and east; East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, and Stanford to the south; and Atherton, North Fair Oaks, and Redwood City to the west.

1 Νοε 2017 · The road extending from El Camino Real (ECR) toward the southwest (and then approximately southeast and finally south) was first opened in 1868 (5 years after the coming of the railroad and thus the name Menlo Park) as the north end of the Menlo Park & Santa Cruz Turnpike (MP&SC Turnpike).

The first was released in 1929 at Menlo Park, NJ, two years before his death; a 2-cent red, on the 50th anniversary of his invention of the incandescent light, and again in 1947, 3-cent violet, on the 100th anniversary of his birth, first released in Milan, Ohio, his place of birth.
The first words Edison successfully recorded on the phonograph were “Mary had a Little Lamb”. By 1878, this invention was known all around the world and Edison soon earned the title of “The Wizard of Menlo Park.” Menlo Park was suddenly known worldwide and started attracting visitors to see demonstrations of the phonograph.
