MSD is a separate utility that serves 1.3 million people over 520 square miles in the St. Louis region. It collects and treats wastewater and stormwater from two different sets of pipes, and prevents pollution and flooding in local waterways.
MSD is a local wastewater utility that provides sewer service to about 232,000 households and businesses in the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Ohio. MSD's service area encompasses 290+ square miles and serves 43 of the 49 communities in Hamilton County as well as small parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties.
In addition to ongoing maintenance of existing sewer infrastructure, MSD requires new facilities to meet the evolving wastewater demands of the St. Louis region. Some of our major construction projects are listed here.
