29 Μαΐ 2021 · I've been playing a minor role within a small team of developers who are looking to expand the capabilities of MIDI devices. This includes a highly customizable way of translating MIDI into keystrokes, mouse actions, macros or scripts.
This program allows to map MIDI-keys to keyboard keys, i.e one's pressing a key on MIDI-keyboard triggers mapped keypress on a PC-keyboard. I've essentially written this tool for OSU!Mania, since it doesn't support MIDI input devices.
midiStroke converts midi note, program or CC messages into keystrokes. Any single midi message can trigger as many keystrokes as you like, in order. As one example, you could use one note on message to select all, copy, move to the right, paste, move right and paste again.
