The beer turns out light and crisp, with some aroma, but not much flavor from the Mountain Dew. And, in case you’re wondering, neither the preservatives or the caffeine seem to bother the yeast. Mountain Brew is also a very easy to make. So, to mangle a phrase from their ads — just brew it!
18 Νοε 2010 · Your best bet is going to be start with a simple beer/wine/mead recipe, depending on what you prefer, to get your alcohol. Then, you can throw in a liter or two of Mt. Dew if you want, for flavoring, but keep in mind that sodas are generally only about 10% - 20% fermentable, so actual soda will only water down your brew.
11 Μαΐ 2008 · I was reading in an issue of BYO and a recipe for a beer with the majority of the fermentables was from Mountain Dew pop. Anyone done this or heard of it? They said it was sort of a wit beer.

19 Δεκ 2011 · If I had to guess it would actually be normal Mountain Dew and cherry grenadine. I would get a 20oz. of Code Red and buy a twelve pack of regular Mt. Dew. Try some proportions and do some taste testing.
