23 Ιουλ 2013 · Well you can just look at the network in the control panel and see if the LAN is connected at 10/100/1000 mbit. But that doesn't tell you the whole story. If you want to test the speed between two PCs, you really need a tool to do it.

25 Ιουν 2016 · I ran my Internet connection through SpeedTest.net which claims that it finds out the actual Internet speed, much lower than that promised by my ISP. But—while downloading—the speed is much lesser than the test results. Even after using download mangers like Internet Download Manager, there isn’t much difference.
I can speed test both locations of course, but that isn't necessarily representative of the actual throughput between the two points. Given the different ISP's and service speeds, I imagine I'd get different results depending on which end I test from. One connection has 3x the upload speed making it the better server end I believe.

If the drive is fragmented or you're transferring smaller files, the speed will drop much lower, as shown in this benchmark of the drive. In fact, the speed of the 4 KB benchmark matches the speed you're getting pretty closely. So, the first thing I would test would be the drive.
23 Δεκ 2011 · If you have two available computers, you can measure the TCP speed directly between them, without using file-transfer which is notoriously slow. The tool to use is iPerf, available for all major operating systems. For details see the article How to use Iperf to test the speed on TP-Link routers. The schema of test configuration is:
15 Φεβ 2018 · Doing a speed test from PC to PC, etc may not be accurate because your computing power might need to be very powerful in order to push that kind of data. CAT6A would guarantee up to 90 meters whereas CAT 7 would be guaranteed for 100 meters for 10Gbps speed.-- At last, the cables may not matter because you may just have 1Gigabit network links.
