- About Us
Here at New Lease on Life Rescue, we help create a lifelong bond between you and your future adoptee. We are a volunteer run and staffed non-profit organization located in Struthers, Ohio that is dedicated to rescuing pets who can no longer stay in their current homes or are facing euthanasia in local pounds.
New Lease on Life is a no-kill rescue in Mahoning County whose primary purpose is to save dogs and cats from euthanasia in local shelters. We believe in serving you, the adopter, both before AND after the adoption.

20 Οκτ 2024 · A New Leash On Life Rescue was established in 2005, and consists of foster homes located in the Northeast Ohio region. We work together to save as many animals as possible facing euthanasia in local shelters. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and work strictly on a volunteer basis.
20 Οκτ 2024 · Since all of our animals are fostered in private homes, an online application must be completed and approved before we will schedule any meet and greet appointments. Please note - an approved application does not obligate NLOL or the interested party to pursue and/or complete the adoption process.
Our pups are ready to socialize and are eager to bond. Most of all, you’re saving a wonderful dog who deserves a fresh start in life. Our certified dog trainers ensure New Leash dogs are prepared for the AKC Canine Good Citizens test and learn basic commands like sit, stay, and come. Our dogs are also spayed/neutered and microchipped.
